Week 10 Summary: Mind–Body Unity

At its heart, the Alexander Technique is about unity. It rejects the idea of body and mind as separate and instead recognises the non-duality of being. We live as whole, interconnected selves.

Our subjective experience shapes our reality. Problems often begin in how we think and feel, and solutions can begin there too. Alexander described the creation of problems through end-gaining and their release through non-doing.
